Among the Starborn Ancients, few still remember the age when demons dared to wage open war against the ancient races. Frierend Wayseer remembers. She is known as the seer whose eyes reflect the skies of fading ages, for she has lived long enough to witness entire civilizations rise, flourish, and crumble into dust. Her strength has never rested in the blade or overwhelming sorcery. She sees what others cannot, senses the threads of fate before they intertwine, and perceives the coming darkness long before it takes shape. It was for this reason that she once led a small band of demon hunters who accomplished the impossible, defeating a Great Demon Prince whose name has long been forbidden, even among the wisest of the Ancients.

Yet the greatest victories rarely become happy endings. Years turned into centuries, and one by one her companions laid down their weapons, withdrew into the quiet of distant worlds, or vanished among the stars, while Frierend alone continued onward. She no longer seeks glory or wishes to relive the triumphs of the past. Instead, she wanders through forgotten worlds, following only faint visions, as though fate itself has yet to decide why it spared her life. Along her journey she gathers those whom destiny has cast aside, young heroes, aging warriors, exiles, and sages, not as an army, but as a family yet to be born. Somewhere ahead, an ancient evil stirs once more, and Frierend knows her own story has not yet reached its end. Perhaps her final battle will not be fought for another glorious victory, but for those who will continue the path after the ancient seer is finally able to join the friends she has outlived.
